Defective Products

Manufacturers of products – whether they be common household products to cars and trucks to industrial equipment – have a responsibility to produce products which are not defective and which pose an unreasonable risk of harm to the public.   When you buy a heater or air conditioner for your home, you should not have to be concerned that it contains a defect that will cause a fire.  Or when you buy a car or truck, you should not have to worry that your ignition switch will suddenly turn off, causing you to lose control of your car.  Yet, these things happen, often causing catastrophic injuries or death.  When manufacturers refuse to take responsibility for these defects, we are there to help you and hold them accountable.  Some of the most common defective products we see are:

  • All-Terrain Vehicles or Utility Vehicles (ATVs or UTVs) – lack of stability control or proper fire prevention
  • Industrial equipment – particularly industrial machines that do not include the proper safety devices, guards, or warnings
  • Automobiles and trucks – including cars with seat belts or airbags that do not work or deploy, and cars that lack proper protection from a crash or a post-collision fire
  • Hunting tree stands – shoddy welding, poor designs, and cheap metal
  • Household products – heaters, air conditioners, and ladders
  • Toys and other children’s items
  • Tires – a tire blowout is one of the most dangerous events on our highways
  • Dangerous drugs

Regardless of the type of product which has injured you, we can and will handle your case.  If you have been injured by a defective product, give us a call and set up a free consultation appointment today.
