Allison Butts-Walley, grew up in Washington, County Alabama in a small town called Frankville on her mother and father’s, Carlton and Carmen Butts’ Black Angus Cattle Farm. Allison graduated from the University of South Alabama with a Bachelors degree in Political Science and a minor in Communication in 2019. Allison then attended Thomas Goode Jones School of Law at Faulkner University in Montgomery, Alabama and graduated in May 2023 and was admitted to practice law by the Alabama State Bar that same year.
While attending law school Allison participated in several organizations including the Women’s Legal Society, Meals on Wheels, Elder Law Clinic Summer Associate, and as a Volunteer tutor for underclassmen. Allison was also elected by her peers to serve as the Honor Court Justice during her first two years at law school; During her third year Allison was elected by the entire law school community to serve as the Chief Justice of the Honor Court. Allison began working at the Gilmore Law Firm during her third year as a law student focusing her practice areas on Family Law and Personal Injury.
Allison is licensed to practice in the state Courts of Alabama and the U.S. Southern District Court in Alabama. She is a member of the Young Lawyers Section, Women’s Section, and the Family Law Section of the Alabama State Bar.
Allison loves the beach and spending time with her four sisters and their families. When she is not at work she enjoys spending time with her husband, Hunter Walley of Buckatunna, Mississippi and their twin daughters, Everleigh and Emery.
