Frederick "Ric" P. Gilmore was born and raised in Grove Hill, Alabama. His father was an established attorney at the time he was born, and all the while he was growing up, he was surrounded by the legal profession. In 1994, Ric graduated from the University of Alabama with a degree in International Finance. After finishing college, he worked his way through law school clerking in the fraud section at the law firm of Beasley, Wilson, Allan and Main (now known as Beasley, Allen Crow, Methvin, Portis and Miles, P.C.). After receiving his Juris Doctorate from Jones Law School in 1998, Ric was admitted to the Alabama State Bar. He then became an associate attorney in the Products Liability Section at Beasley, where he primarily handled tobacco litigation and injuries resulting from defective products. In January, 2000, Ric returned to Grove Hill to practice law with his brother and sister (Wyman Gilmore, Jr., and Wylynn Gilmore Phillippi). He primarily focuses his practice on wrongful death and personal injury cases, workplace and construction site injuries, products liability, fraud and work associated injuries. Ric is a member of the Clarke County Bar Association, the Alabama Trial Lawyers Association, and the Association of Trial Lawyers of America. He is admitted to practice law in the State of Alabama, and the U. S. District Courts for the Southern and Middle Districts of Alabama. Ric enjoys hunting and fishing in his leisure time. He is married to the former Nichole "Nikki" Hodurski of Montgomery, Alabama, and has three sons, Par, Walter and Wallis. |
