Lamar C. Johnson grew up in the small community of Whatley, near Grove Hill, Alabama. Lamar graduated high school in 1982 and from the University of Alabama in 1986. After college, Lamar worked, along with his father, in the timber industry in Southwest Alabama. He attended law school at the University of Mississippi and was admitted to practice in 1992.

Lamar became associated with the firm in 1992 and has handled a range of cases since that time including real estate work, criminal and civil defense cases, and probate matters. Lamar has assisted all the attorneys in the office with his superior brief-writing abilities.

Lamar is admitted to practice before the state Courts of Alabama, the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Alabama, as well as the U.S. Supreme Court.

Lamar serves part time as a municipal court judge for the Municipal Court of Chatom, Alabama, and as prosecutor for the Municipal Courts of Grove Hill and Jackson, Alabama.

In Lamar's leisure time, he enjoys hunting whitetail deer and has acquired quite a trophy collection. Lamar is married to the former Tyrrell Sollie and has a son, Coleman, and a stepson, Seth.
